Important Information

Final departures usually take place in the late afternoon, though exact times vary by season and operator. Missing the last service may mean returning by tram, metro, taxi, or on foot.

Morning and later afternoon are often especially pleasant for sightseeing in Amsterdam, with softer light, a calmer atmosphere, and beautiful reflections along the canals.

Booking ahead is strongly recommended in the busiest travel periods, especially in spring and summer, when popular time slots and combination tickets can sell quickly.

Regular public transport tickets and museum cards do not usually include private hop-on hop-off tours, so always check exactly what your existing passes cover before assuming transport is included.
